What we do
Reading Keeda Library is the flagship initiative of Pathimba Foundation, a Section 8 Company established in 2022 and based in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Through Reading Keeda Library and its various programs,, we are committed to fostering a culture of reading for pleasure and encouraging reading beyond academics among children.
Through our work in establishing and mentoring libraries, we not only increase access to books but also ensure that children are introduced to high-quality, meaningful literature that supports their holistic development.
Dr. Pallavi Bapat Pinge
Pallavi is a Developmental Pediatrician who has worked with a vast age group of children over the last 11 years. She started Reading Keeda Library in 2014 to share her love of reading with children. She has learnt all about libraries and books and stories through hands-on experience and strongly believes in ” Learning by Doing”. Through books, she intends to bring about a difference in the lives and dreams of children, 1 child at a time.
Aditi Baitule Deshpande
Aditi has been associated with Reading Keeda Library from 2017. An avid reader who loves to work with children, Aditi has a vast experience of social volunteering where she has worked with children through different programs over the last 13 years. She has also completed the Library Educators Certificate Course, offered by Bookworm, Goa in collaboration with Tata Institute of Social Sciences.She is an engineer by profession with 13 years of experience in the IT sector.
About Pathimba Foundation
Pathimba Foundation has been started with an aim to support children in their education by nurturing a love for reading. We believe that giving children access to books beyond academics and inculcating a habit of reading for pleasure can be a powerful positive catalyst in children’s education and their holistic development.
Pathimba Foundation works for all and any children in the age group of 1 to 18 years old. Our physical library, Reading Keeda, is set up in Shankar Nagar area, Nagpur, Maharashtra. All activities are open to all children. We believe that the right to education, literacy and books is fundamental to all children. Hence, through our collaborations with different organizations, we also take the joy of reading and listening to stories to remote areas nearby to Nagpur as well as to Melghat, Delhi, and Gurgaon.
